What is whipped tallow cream?
Whipped tallow cream is rendered beef fat (tallow) whipped with a carrier oil until light and spreadable. Melt by HydroTallow whips grass-fed suet tallow with cold-pressed jojoba and 1% pure essential oils, or none in Unscented.
Does tallow skincare smell like beef?
Ours doesn't. We render only suet and triple purify it, so the base is neutral; scented jars carry just 1% pure essential oils.
Who makes Melt?
A small family team. Melt by HydroTallow is made by hand, in small batches, from suet sourced from an organic, Certified Humane ranch.
What's the difference between whipped tallow and tallow balm?
Whipped tallow is aerated until light and silky, so it spreads easily and sinks in; a balm is denser. Ours is genuinely whipped.
Is it right for my skin?
Everyone's skin is different. Patch-test first, start with a thin layer, and go with Unscented if you're sensitive to fragrance.
How long does a jar last, and does heat matter?
Use within 8–12 months. Keep it cool and out of direct sun; if it softens in heat, pop it in the fridge.
Which size should I start with?
The 2 oz jar ($22) is the easiest way to try a scent. Regulars move up to the 4 oz ($34) or the 16 oz ($78).
